This is the prediction from Sony Ericsson Chief Executive Bert Nordberg that within 5 years half of all mobile phone users in China will be using smartphones.
With the popularity of Android based mobile phones ever increasing as more mobile phone manufactures such as Sony Ericsson, HTC and Motorola (to name a few) adopt this platform on their phones.
According to market researcher IDC, it estimates a 50% increase in smartphone sales in China from 2009. That’s a massive 26 million smartphones to be sold in China this year.
