Telstra and Pacific Magazines have entered into a new partnership where embed codes have been placed within the editorial of 12 of its magazines, including Marie Claire, New Idea, Famous and Who Weekly.
The service lets customers with certain camera-equipped mobile phones scan the codes, causing the phone’s browser to launch and redirect to a programmed Web site.
The earlier trial is said to have resulted in around 20,000 codes scanned by readers using their handsets. First campaigns from the new alliance will begin in September.
